Welcome to The Family Resource Center
The Exchange Club Family Resource Center is a Georgia-based non-profit corporation providing prevention/intervention human services to families in Floyd County, Georgia. Our mission is to provide education and support services to families in Floyd County in order to strengthen the parenting and life skills of the parents and to prevent child abuse and neglect within these families.
Our Goals
Safety: Children should be protected from abuse and neglect and safely maintained in their homes. The risk of harm to children is minimized by providing parenting skills education to the parents.
Permanency: Children should have permanency & stability in their living situations. The continuity of family relationships and connections is preserved fro children, therefore avoiding foster care.
Child and Family Well-being: Families should recognize the needs of their children, enhance their knowledge of those needs, and have sufficient support systems.
Impact
In 2008 we served 2,526 people with our programs. These families come from all walks of life and are our friends and neighbors in Rome and Floyd County. By creating better and stronger families, we are helping to create a better and stronger community which makes Rome and Floyd County a healthier place to live and work.
